WIX Filters once again will hold its WIX Filters Lap Leader Award Contest, an online contest that gives NASCAR fans weekly opportunities to predict which drivers in each of the top three NASCAR series will win the WIX Filters Lap Leader Award and earn prizes including an all-expense-paid trip to the 2007 NEXTEL Cup Series race weekend in Las Vegas.
The contest made its debut last year as a natural extension of the WIX Filters sponsorship of the weekly driver award and its status as the #1 filter in NASCAR. The WIX Filters Lap Leader Award is presented to the driver in each event in the NASCAR NEXTEL Cup, NASCAR Busch Series and NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series who leads the most laps. At the end of the season, the driver who has won the most WIX Filters Lap Leader Awards receives the overall prize.
