WIX® Filters Announces 2009 Sales Promotions

Marketing Program Encourages Customer Participation in 2009
WIX Filters announced at AAPEX an extensive lineup of sales promotions for 2009 designed to increase customer sales, raise brand awareness, and reward WIX’s loyal customers. Promotion highlights include the Joe Gibbs Racing Hauler Sweepstakes, the Foreign Nameplate Lap Leader Promotion, the PRN Texas 2-Step Sweepstakes, and the Dodge Challenge die cast collectible.

WIX promotions are supported by materials that detail the promotion for participating auto parts stores and distributors; in-store posters and point-of-sale materials help promote the programs, and news releases publicize the promotions in order to generate additional purchases and brand awareness. The WIX Filters 2009 promotion schedule includes:
Heavy Duty Hauler Promotion – This heavy duty product promotion will take place from March – September 2009 with added incentives for loyal customers, including the chance to be hauled off on a Getaway NASCAR Sprint Cup Racing Weekend. The trip includes riding on the Joe Gibbs Racing Hauler to a NASCAR Sprint Cup race, assisting the team, and watching the race in the pits, plus much more.
WIX Filters “Sale Days” Promotion – During the spring and fall of 2009, WIX Filters “Sale Days” help increase auto part store sales by driving their customers to them. WIX will provide customers with an ability to print customized “Sale Days” materials for these promotions and offer special pricing. Plan your WIX “Sale Days” from January – May and again in July – November.
WIX Texas 2-Step Sweepstakes – The WIX Texas 2-Step Sweepstakes is a partnership with the Performance Racing Network. Customers can enter to win a trip for two to the race at Texas Motor Speedway. The package includes roundtrip travel, deluxe accommodations, spending money, suite tickets, hot/cold passes, Victory Lane passes and, of course, custom-fitted hat and boots.
WIX FNP Lap Leader Promotion - Through the purchase of a WIX Filters foreign name plate filter kit, customers are eligible to win one of four chances to present the WIX Filters Lap Leader Award check to a driver at a 2010 NASCAR race, meet the Joe Gibbs Racing crew, and win a WIX Filters prize pack with spending money.
WIX Die Cast Collectible Program and Challenger Sweepstakes – With pre-sell dates running from February – April 30 and delivery dates from October – December, customers can keep their WIX Die Cast collections up-to-date with the 2009 edition, the The Dodge Challenger Die Cast Twin pack. The pack contains a 1/24th scale 1970 Dodge Challenger, a 1/18th scale 2009 Dodge Challenger, and a bounce back offer for a special WIX 70th Anniversary poster. As an added incentive, customers will be entered into the 2009 Challenger Car Sweepstakes for a chance to win an actual 1/1 scale 2009 Dodge Challenger.
WIX Hummer H2 – The WIX Hummer H2 has traveled the country to spread the word about WIX Filters at more than 600 events in the past three years, and the popular mobile marketing unit will cross the nation again in 2009 with a brand new design. An interactive learning experience on four wheels, the WIX H2 is a souped-up black H2 featuring bold graphics, a fold-down filter display and audio and visual enhancements. Customers can request the H2 for their special events.
WIX AG/Fleet Discount Program – As the leader in heavy duty filtration, WIX has more than 3,000 heavy duty part numbers. In 2009, WIX will double the discount opportunities on select agriculture and fleet filters for our distributors. It’s a continuation of WIX’s long-time support for customers selling and maintaining their fleets with WIX heavy duty filters.
WIX/FFA Box Top Promotion – In support of local chapters of the National FFA Organization, WIX will donate 25 cents to local FFA chapters for every WIX box top that chapter redeems between January and April 2009. WIX also will award the four chapters that return the most box tops with a $1,000 bonus and provide an additional $1,000 to the chapter that has the largest box top submittal percentage increase compared to last year’s promotion.
WIX Box Top Program – WIX continues its popular box top program in 2009. The WIX Box Top Program enables distributors to increase awareness of the WIX brand, drive sales of WIX products and build customer loyalty all while giving customers the opportunity to earn a variety of WIX branded apparel and gift cards.
WIX® Hat, Apparel and Merchandise Catalogs – The WIX merchandise catalog offers an extensive assortment of apparel and promotional items that provides distributors with an array of WIX-branded items designed to increase awareness of the WIX brand and drive sales of WIX products. WIX Filters eLearning Center – This year marks the third year of the WIX Filters eLearning Center. The eLearning Center offers convenient online courses on light duty and heavy duty filtration. Participants earning a 70 percent or better on course-ending quizzes will earn the title of Certified Filtration Specialist. Throughout the process students can earn several certificates that will distinguish them as a provider of excellent filtration knowledge and customer service.
