Innovative sweepstakes and new point-of-sale materials latest joint marketing efforts in 17-year relationship between WIX and JGR
WIX Filters, a member of the Affinia Group family of brands, is providing its loyal heavy duty technicians with an opportunity to win a once-in-a-lifetime NASCAR® race weekend experience. Leaving from Joe Gibbs Racing’s shop in Huntersville, N.C., the winner of the WIX Filters Heavy Duty Hauler Sweepstakes will ride with the #18 M&M’s® team to a 2010 race in the JGR team hauler, watch the race from the pits, present the WIX Filters Lap Leader Award check, and receive $500 in spending money.

By purchasing $50 worth of WIX heavy-duty products from a participating WIX distributor, now until November 30, 2009 or until game card supplies are exhausted, Heavy Duty technicians are entered in the WIX Filters Heavy Duty Hauler Sweepstakes with the chance at the grand prize and one of 81,000 instant win prizes with each purchase.
Chances of winning an instant win prize are 1:2.
The winner of the WIX Filters Heavy Duty Hauler Sweepstakes will travel with a guest to a NASCAR race in the #18 M&M’s hauler and meet Joe Gibbs Racing team members. They will watch the race from the pits, on the hauler roof, or from the WIX Filters terrace box. The winner will also have the opportunity to personally present the WIX Filters Lap Leader Award check to the previous race’s winning driver before the race, and they will receive $500 in spending money along with a WIX Filters prize pack that includes a polo shirt, windbreaker, duffle bag and other great gifts.
In addition to the WIX Filters Heavy Duty Hauler Sweepstakes, WIX has teamed with Joe Gibbs Racing to create point-of-sale materials designed to help retailers and repair shops increase the sale of WIX Filters. The materials, available through WIX district sales managers, highlight WIX’s relationship as the Official Filter of Joe Gibbs Racing, and include shelf danglers, ceiling hangers, floor graphics, counter mats, racing pennants, pricing displays and silent seller shelf talkers.
