Foreign nameplate product coverage emphasized with new packaging logo
WIX Filters, a member of the Affinia Group family of brands, marks the continuation of their record-setting product development pace this year with the announcement of 357 new part numbers in 2009.
“WIX engineers and product development professionals continue to out pace our company’s historical records for product development,” said Patrick Enniss, product development manager for WIX Filters, who has overseen the production of 119 premium light duty filters, 189 premium heavy duty filters and 34 opening price point filters this year.
“With an on-going emphasis on foreign nameplate applications, as well as further movement into emerging markets including filtration for electricity generating wind turbines, WIX is shattering our previous record of 324 new part numbers that we set in 2008,” Enniss added.
In support of the company’s continued emphasis on foreign nameplate product development, including more than 80 percent of the company’s new light duty production in 2009 being prescription engineered for foreign nameplate applications, WIX has created a Global Coverage mark that will be found on all packaging in 2010.
“Due to WIX’s unrelenting commitment to engineering and manufacturing parts for all makes and models, we needed a mark that communicates the company’s expansive product coverage,” said Jeff Blocher, brand manager for WIX Filters. “Our new Global Coverage logo tells customers that they can trust WIX to have the filter they need, whether it’s for domestic or foreign nameplate vehicles.”
Filters for foreign nameplate applications lead the new premium light duty filter list, with more than 96 new air, oil, cabin air and fuel filter product numbers for Mazda, Honda, Hyundai, BMW, Porsche, Audi, and Volkswagen, among other brands.
The development of new premium heavy duty filters is always a focus of WIX Filters. The 189 new premium heavy duty filters released by WIX this year include oil, air, cabin air, fuel, and hydraulic filters for Caterpillar, Cummins, John Deere, Komatsu, Mack, and New Holland, among other brands.
WIX has also expanded their line of hydraulic industrial filtration filters, in addition to 24 new filters engineered specifically for the burgeoning wind turbine marketplace.
WIX Filters is continually adding new part numbers to their online catalog. Customers can find filters for their vehicle by using the filter look-up tool at www.wixfilters.com.
