Team WIX® Grows To 1,600-plus Race Teams In 2010

Local race teams can join Team WIX through November 20, 2010

WIX® Filters, a member of the Affinia Group family of brands, has built Team WIX into a 1,600-plus group of local race teams in 2010, with three races remaining in the WIX Filters 100 Nights of Grassroots Racing program. 100 Nights of Grassroots Racing is a year-long tribute in partnership with former NASCAR® crew chief Ray Evernham to the men, women, tracks and towns that make grassroots racing a unique American tradition.

TeamWIX.com was launched in April as an online portal for grassroots racing, Team WIX membership and information. In five short months, the site registered 1,637 race teams, posted 100s of photos of Team WIX members and added videos featuring crew chief, driver and track owner Ray Evernham.

“The WIX Filters 100 Nights of Grassroots Racing has been a tremendously successful program,” said Jeff Blocher, brand manager for WIX Filters, the #1 Filter in NASCAR. “We created Team WIX three years ago to support grassroots, hometown racers, but through this program and TeamWIX.com, Team WIX has exploded in popularity this year, and there is still time for race teams to sign-up this season.”

Local race teams can join Team WIX in 2010 by applying for membership at www.teamwix.com/join_form.php. The Team WIX racing sponsorship program provides local race teams across America with WIX racing gear, decals, and a 20 percent rebate on WIX racing filters and WIX/NoToil ATV and motorcycle filters. In 2010, all Team WIX race teams will be eligible to win one of five Grand Prize Team Sponsorships, including a $500 check and $250 in WIX filters and gear.

TeamWIX.com is full of information about Team WIX and WIX racing filters. The website is also the only source of information for the WIX Filters 100 Nights of Grassroots Racing. From Deer Creek Speedway on April 16, 2010, through Houston Raceway Park on Nov. 20, photos, videos and stories from race tracks across the United States will be featured on TeamWIX.com.
