Time to market for new filters improves 30 percent
WIX® Filters, a member of the Affinia Group family of brands, has increased its coverage of light duty applications to more than 99 percent of registered vehicles in the North American aftermarket while improving its time to market for new filters by 30 percent.
“This year has been monumental for WIX Product Development,” said Patrick Ennis, product development manager at WIX Filters. “Between our coverage growth in the vehicle segment and our newly-released industrial hydraulic filter line, we have nearly tripled our total premium product offering in 2010.”
WIX has introduced 291 new light and heavy duty filters through the first 10 months of 2010. This total includes 32 domestic and 33 foreign nameplate premium light duty filters and 66 opening price point filters. WIX also placed 112 new heavy duty filters into service, while expanding international coverage by 48 new product numbers.
WIX’s new industrial filtration product line, launched Nov. 1, consists of more than of 8,000 part numbers for critical hydraulic and fluid power system applications found in manufacturing environments including power generation, mining, foundries, pulp/paper and more. WIX developed this new product line to serve the $36 billion dollar global industrial filtration market.
