Counter Professional of the Year Named by WIX® and Counterman Magazine

Thomas Taylor, Motown Automotive, Receives 2012 Honor
WIX® Filters, a member of the Affinia Group family of brands, in conjunction with Counterman magazine, named Thomas Taylor of Motown Automotive in Farmington Hills, Mich., the 2012 Counter Professional of the Year during the annual AWDA Meeting and Conference in Las Vegas on Oct. 29.
“Counter professionals play a fundamental role in the automotive parts distribution channel,” said Mike Harvey, brand manager for WIX Filters. “Taylor’s career as a trusted automotive resource through his commitment to ongoing education, superior customer service and abundant product knowledge represents the top of our industry.”
Thomas, a 41-year automotive aftermarket parts professional, is the manager for Motown Automotive, a family owned and operated full-line undercar and underhood auto parts warehouse in southern Michigan, flying the Federated Auto Parts flag. As part of his award, Thomas and his wife, Sheryl, traveled to AAPEX for an all-expenses paid trip to Las Vegas.
Thomas, an ASE-certified parts professional, was nominated Counter Professional of the Year by Motown Automotive’s corporate office. The award recognizes an automotive aftermarket parts professional who goes above the call of duty; continually seeks out education for himself or herself; is an example of the consummate parts professional; and is an ambassador for the aftermarket.
For his nomination, his colleagues wrote, “Tom's customers know he is dependable because of his experience, work ethic, charming personality and commitment to stand behind all of his parts and services. He will do whatever it takes.”
