WIX® Filters and Babcox Media Present Joe’s Garage with Sixth Annual WIX Driving Performance Award

Arkansas-Based Shop Honored During Night of Excellence Dinner at AWDA



WIX® Filters, a global manufacturer of filtration products, and Babcox Media named Joe Sharp, owner of Joe’s Garage, located in North Little Rock, Arkansas, as the sixth annual WIX Driving Performance Award winner.

“Joe’s Garage goes above and beyond for both its customers and employees, setting a high standard to be admired and emulated by all,” said Mike Lerch, brand manager for WIX Filters. “WIX is proud to present this award to a shop and owner that not only set the standard for how shops should be run but also for how people should treat others.”

Joe’s Garage has been in operation for 33 years, operating at one location with 11 bays. The shop has 11 employees, including six technicians with varying levels of ASE certifications, and Sharp dispatches roughly 75% of the repair orders himself. Sharp’s focus on customer service is keen, never collecting customer email addresses to ensure their information is kept private and even offering complimentary rides to and from work or home. In addition, Sharp takes care of his employees. The shop closes on weekends to promote healthy work-life balance, and he pays his employees salary, not commission, so their work is more thorough. Sharp even hosts a car radio show to answer consumer questions and annually co-hosts a car show to support Ronald McDonald House Charities. He’s also a member of the Aftermarket Auto Parts Alliance’s Service Center Advisory Council.

As part of the Driving Performance of the Year award, Sharp received an all-expenses-paid trip to Las Vegas for AAPEX 2019 and was recognized at the WIX Filters and Babcox Media Night of Excellence.
